I will be needing a new clutch and flywheel for my teg. I should be getting the JRSC within the next year so I want it to hold up. I also know that I need a diff. I was looking at the Quafe but Im not sure. Also if anyone has any input on a good flywheel that would be nice too. Please tell me what you guys are running and if there are any problems. This should be happening in the very near future!!!
thanks a head of time.

It really depends on what you are looking for. I run an ACT with an Extreme pressure plate and 6 puck. It is way more than I need for the street though. It chatters like hell if you aren't careful. If I had to do it all over again I would have chosed the street/strip disc with the Extreme Pressure plate. Hope this helps.

you could also try Clutch Specialties. Same shit as ACT but much less.
Mine should be coming in soon. I saved about $100-$150 for a SOHC clutch. (paid ~$200 for xtreme pp and hybrid lined disc).
Have a fidanza flywheel and KAAZ lsd, but those aren't in yet either

Yea, I talked with Brian at Clutch Specialies and he was saying to go with Alum Flywheel (8.5pounds) and an Iron disk heavyduty P.P. What is so special about the fidanza flywheel and where can I get one...
Any other help is great also..
thanks

they have the fidanza flywheels over at the groupbuycenter.
that is the best place I think
I got mine for $300, about 6.6lbs for D16Z6
can't comment yet on how it is though...
I don't think there is much special about them, just that they are going for decent prices and are pretty dang light.
just kind of getting exposure right now, thats all. They're the same ones JR sells.
JRCivic runs one, he likes it.

oh yeah lighter is better because the sc creates drag anyway, so its like the flywheel is heavier than it would be NA.

Wouldnt the lighter flywheel make the car idle bad? Something about rotating mass?? This is something my dad and I were talking about. Has anyone use the Iron disk and heavyduty Pressure plate from Clutch Specialies?? I kinda would like to know what Im getting my self into...
thanks again

redline: whaz UP!--hey chump i would jus go wid a centerforce dual friction clutch if ya still ride'n it on da streets...cuz its still f--k'n streetable and going wid too light of a fly will make yo azz drive like a rookie--bronco billy style on stop-go traffic cuz that shitz be spin'n down hella fast and ya don't catch it on the downlow yo azz is gonna jerk da f--ker hella times and match that bullshitz wid a 6-puck kevlar nonsense clutch/heavy azz PP and yo gets da picture right?--chatter'n off da line and then downshift'n buc-wild style. but, if yo azz is all outty race'n then its all good cuz shitz likes that don't matter...6.6 lbs...damn...how ya likes ta drive that on hills?--f--ked! some foo told me bout that iron disk and HD PP but, how da f--k does it wear and how it be ride'n on a daily hoopdee?? who da f--k has that shitz anyways???

With forced induction you really don't need a lighter fly wheel. I'd say for a GS-R the Type R flywheel is about right. A really light one may not be ideal.
